Sonia Richards
Sonia Richards is a Scientist, Multi-disciplinary Therapist, Author and Singer, who has worked in the Complementary Therapies, Hypnotherapy and Change Work professions since 2000. Sonia was part of the team who first introduced Mongan Method HypnoBirthing® into the UK, and was an external lecturer in HypnoBirthing® for the University of Greenwich for almost 10 years. She was also a member of the UK HypnoBirthing® Advisory Board, as board secretary. Sonia holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons), First Class, plus Master of Science with Distinction, and an award-winning scientist in the field of Biomedical Sciences.
In 2013 she was appointed as a trainer, and then the first International Chair of the Association for IEMT Practitioners (Integral Eye Movement Therapy/Techniques), by Andrew T. Austin, the developer of IEMT. Sonia recently wrote the first, and to date, only published book on IEMT. She is also a trainer in Metaphors of Movement (MoM). Sonia has spoken at several international conferences covering various modalities and in 2021 she was invited to speak about MoM at the Society for Mental Space Psychology (SOMSP) international online conference, Applications in Mental Space.
Now for something completely different: Sonia has also been a singer since she was a teenager and was a member of two bands from Liverpool in the early 1980s, namely Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Dead or Alive
